The Upper Genesee Street Historic and Lower Genesee Street Historic Districts aim to protect Utica's historical buildings and streets. Utica should care about Preservation.
Lower Genesee Street Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
And now more properties and resources have been recommended by the New York State Board for Historic Preservation for inclusion to the State and National Registers of Historic Places, including the The Upper Genesee Street Historic.
