City of Utica 1st Ward Candidate Lou Poccia to File Nominating Petitions for his 4th line, the "NoHospital Dwtn" Line

* * * For Immediate Release * * *

Utica, NY, August 20, 2017 - Utica-area media has been invited to witness Lou Poccia submit his signatures to appear on the "NoHospital Dwtn" line in this November's election. Please join Lou at the County Board of Elections office tomorrow, Monday, August 21 at 9AM.

Currently Lou Poccia, a candidate for Utica Common Council 1st ward, has three party lines; Republican, Conservative and Reform parties. However, according to Poccia, "This additional line allows people to vote against the hospital. Yes, there was talk of a referendum, but this is the closest we can get to one - and I feel it's a critically important especially for the first ward."

The newly established "NoHospital Dwtn" line offers voters a choice, as all candidates on the line have signed a pledge, stating they will work and vote to place the new hospital on the unanimously approved St. Luke's Campus, not in Downtown Utica.
