Utica, NY, August 7, 2017 - "No Hospital Downtown" has become a political movement. Recently a group of candidates seeking both city and county office seats are now qualifying for a newly established political party called "NoHospital Dwtn". The NoHospital Dwtn Party Logo uses the international "No" symbol consisting of a circle with a diagonal slash.

A press conference has been scheduled for 11AM on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017. An address will be made outside the business of Citation Services at 418 Lafayette Street and the corner of Carton Avenue.

Party founders have submitted initial documents with the Oneida County Board of Elections. Party members are now obtaining signatures from city and county voters. Candidates under the new party line Will sign a "No Hospital Downtown" Pledge, stating they will work and vote to place the new hospital on the unanimously approved St. Luke's Campus, not in Downtown Utica.

The media and anyone interested in the downtown hospital debate is encouraged to attend. Founding members of the new party, as well as members of both #NoHospitalDowntown and Better Utica Downtown (BUD) will be in attendance.
